BOOKED Fundraiser Returns at Newly Renovated Library

The Coastal Region Library in Crystal River hosted the second “BOOKED: An Evening for Citrus Libraries” event on Saturday, February 28.

Presented by Rowand Septic, Suncoast Credit Union and the Friends of the Library, this year’s event brought together hundreds of community members, local business leaders, and library supporters to raise funds for future capital improvements projects for the library system. Attendees were excited to see the return of “Wine Toss” and tried their hand at the “Putting Challenge,” a new addition to this year’s festivities.

Throughout the evening, attendees heard from MC Eric Head, the Community Services Director for the county, and previous Library Services director. He and other notable guests, including Sheriff David Vincent and Commissioner Holly Davis, Commissioner Rebecca Bays, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Scott Hebert, and retired Supervisor of Elections Susan Gill took the time to tour the building, in addition to supporting the silent auction.

As with many large library events, they wouldn’t be possible without the time and dedication of library volunteers. In the week leading to the event, the volunteers were instrumental in making the evening a success.

We’re thrilled to announce that BOOKED: An Evening for Citrus Libraries will be returning on Saturday, February 20, 2027, to a library near you!
