Read a Book, Fall in Love

Don’t limit Valentine’s to just one day, come celebrate with a whole month of February programming for all ages!

Come to your favorite branch for a set of very special themed storytimes that are all about love and care on February 9, February 13, February 14, and February 15 that will be held throughout the library system.

“A Treat for your Sweet”, which will be offered at Lakes Region Library on February 1 at 3:00 PM, is a chance for teens and tweens to make a special heart-shaped pillow and some crafty love bugs. Also designed for teens and tweens will be “Sew Creative” at Coastal Region Library at 3:30 PM, where older children will make a Valentine-related sewing craft.

Other youth offerings include two options of “Hearts and Crafts”, one of which will be at Central Ridge branch on February 11 at 1:00 PM and the others, both at the Lakes Region branch on February 14 at 4:30 PM, as well as “Love STEM Challenges” on February 21 at 4:30 PM and “Kids Create: Heart Art” on February 28 at 4:30 PM.

Are you a grown-up and want to get in on the fun? No worries, there are programs for you, too! On February 6 at 10:30 AM, come make a paper heart garland in our “Adults Create” class at Central Ridge Library. On February 10 at 10:30 AM, make a card for your valentine at Coastal Region Library in a card-making class. If you’re musically-inclined, the Citrus Springs Chamber Music Group will be holding a free concert at Homosassa Library on February 14 at 2:00 PM.

Library programs are free and available to everyone. For additional information about programming please call your local branch, follow @CitrusLibraries on Facebook or Instagram, or view the online calendar at citruslibraries.org.
