When donors choose to support our library system, they make a choice to enhance the library’s services, programs and collection. Ultimately, these donations have a lasting affect on our community – and everyone has the ability to be a donor!

5 Ways to Donate


One-Time or Monthly Donation

You can make a one-time, or monthly reoccurring, donation to the Friends of the Library with PayPal.

Attend a book sale, hosted by the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library host book sales throughout the year. Purchase a book, a puzzle, or other treasures.

Check out their Mega Book Sale, held every year in March and October, all funds raised by the Friends benefit the Citrus County Library System.

Become a Friend

Become a Friend of the Library! The Friends of the Library are non-profit organizations dedicated to enhancing public library service for the citizens of Citrus County. Support your Library, it’s programs, services, and collection by joining the Friends today. Visit your Library in person for an application, or print one out and bring it in.

Donate Items for Book Sales

Donate your gently-used, like-new, books and puzzles to be sold at the Friend’s book sales. Items are evaluated and added to the Library’s collection or sold at the Friend’s book sales.

Items Not Accepted:
Computer, Textbooks or Guidebooks over 3 years old
Encyclopedias
Magazines
Workbooks
Audio or Video Cassettes
DVDs, and CDs

Donations are accepted Monday through Friday at all Libraries between 10AM and 4PM.
