“Be a Santa to a Senior” at Citrus Libraries

Every year, Home Instead Senior Care partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts this holiday season. The company then works with local businesses and retail stores to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts by placing trees and ornaments within their various locations.

All branches of the Citrus County Library System have a “Santa for a Senior” tree set-up for patrons to select from.  Each senior’s gift requests are written on a bulb and hung on these trees. Donors are encouraged to select a bulb, purchase the requested gift item(s), and then return the bulb and unwrapped gift to the library. You can learn more about the program by visiting beasantatoasenior.com.

For additional information about holiday programming and events happening at Citrus Libraries, head to the library’s website, citruslibraries.org.
