Give Back to Your Community by Giving Blood
On Wednesday, August 14, the Lakes Region Library in Inverness will be hosting a blood drive between the hours of 11:15 AM and 1:30 PM.
According to the Red Cross (redcrossblood.org), approximately 29,000 units of blood are needed every day in the U.S, and blood drives provide a crucial service in replenishing that supply. Give back to your community by giving blood that will save lives and, in the process, find out your blood type. Donors will receive an eGift card, a t-shirt, and a wellness checkup that includes blood pressure, pulse, iron count, and cholesterol screening.
Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are encouraged! Please visit oneblood.org/donate-now and find your drive to make your appointment online.
