Citrus Libraries A-Z: Week 1
September is Library Card Sign-up Month! This year we’re going “Beyond the Books” as we celebrate all of the services and resources that the libraries provide in addition to reading materials with our Citrus Libraries A-Z series!
In true library fashion we will be working our way through the alphabet, from A-Z, showcasing Citrus Libraries. So, grab a friend (preferably one without a library card) and spend the month with the library! For week 1, we’re featuring the letters A-D!
A is For Authors!
We love getting to celebrate authors! From local author Dylan Newton to Florida favorite Tim Dorsey, and so many others, author events have been a constant in our libraries.
B is For BookPage!
Where do you turn when you need something to read? A copy of the monthly BookPage, of course! Find new authors, genres and suggestions for the next book to put on your to-be-read list. You can find a digital copy on our website or come into one of our branches for your own copy every month!
C is For Community Outreach!
Citrus Libraries loves getting out into the community to talk about our favorite subject – libraries! Hearing your library stories, watching kids get their first library card and seeing your smiling faces makes our day. The next big event we’ll be at is the Scarecrow Festival on Oct 9th in Crystal River, will you be stopping by to say hi?
D is For Displays from Local Artisans!
We love getting to celebrate local artisans! At any given time you never know what treasures will be on display at the library, from guitars to woodworking, photographs to watercolors, we have seen it all.
