Book Clubs at Citrus Libraries

We all know that reading is fun, but not the most social of hobbies. For a lot of people that’s probably their favorite part of reading! But what about when you read that one book that just blows you away with its amazing characters or sudden plot twist? Who do you share that excitement with? Well, how about some fellow book-lovers? Your local library branches are fantastic gathering places for all things book related, including book clubs!

The Central Ridge Library has the Ridge Readers Book Club. This group meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 3:00PM – 4:00PM. This group reads specific titles monthly, and votes together on future titles. Upcoming titles include; The Book Thief, The Ship of Brides, and West with Giraffes. Registration is required.

The Homosassa Page Turners meet at the Homosassa Library on the first Thursday of every month from 3:00PM to 4:00PM. This book club is BYOB (Bring Your Own Book)! Everyone reads a different book and then comes ready to share their opinion and thoughts about their selected titles. Registration is required.

The Floral City Library also regularly hosts their Book Share program on the third Friday of each month at 11:30 AM. Come to Book Share and join the lively conversation! Meet others with the same passion for reading and swap book suggestions and reviews.

For those that are fans of the classics the Coastal Region Library hosts the Coastal Region Book Club quarterly on Wednesdays from 1:00PM – 2:00PM. Each club meeting has three titles that members can choose from and discuss or recommend to others. The upcoming meeting on December 20^th will focus on Charles Dickens classics; A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations, and A Tale of Two Cities.
