Discovering Sensibility through the Five Senses

Our five senses are how we gather information and know how to interact with the environment around us. It’s estimated that our senses take in nearly 11 million bits of information per second! When looking at a number like that, it’s easy to understand how we can begin to feel overwhelmed and exhausted. But these same senses can be the key to unlocking a sense of well-being in our daily lives.

Join Mary Pike, a retired corporate trainer and member of the National Speaker’s Bureau, as she hosts this interactive workshop based on ideas presented in Gretchen Rubin’s new book, “Life in Five Senses”. The workshop will take place at the Central Ridge Library on Monday, October 30 at 10:00 AM. Awaken your abilities, increase your awareness, and learn to be an adventurer as you discover the secrets waiting to be revealed through touch, smell, sight, sound, and taste. Seating is limited and registration is required. Please register with the online calendar, in person, or by calling us at (352) 746-6622.

Library programs are free and open to the public. For more information about this program, please visit our online calendar at attend.citruslibraries.org/events.
