37 Years in Floral City’s Vintage Costume Closet

The Floral City Library holds a monthly program called Heritage Hour. Each month’s topic centers on a different piece of history for Floral City and Citrus County. Heritage Hour is held the 4th Wednesday of every month at 2pm at the library.

July’s topic will be a deep-dive into the vintage costume closet, located in the Floral City Heritage Hall Museum. Guest Speaker Marcia Beasley, the costume closet’s manager, has been making and using vintage costumes to aid in telling the history of Citrus County since the 1980s. For the past 28 years, the “Closet” has featured the 1890s to 1910 period of clothing to coincide with the boom period of Floral City.

Please join us at the Floral City Library on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM to take a step back in time with Marcia!
