Discover the “Wonders of Birding” at the Coastal Region Library!

The joys and wonders of birding are best experienced in Florida, where forests, lakes, and beaches are home to an abundance of unique birds. We hope you will join us at the Coastal Region Library in jumping into the world of birding! On May 11, 2023, at 1:00 P.M., the Citrus County Parks and Recreation “Birding in the Park” program will be leading patrons in a birding demonstration! Patrons will even get a chance to go outside and practice their newfound birding skills, and are invited to ask questions of expert birders.

Looking to get your feet wet on your own? Ask your local library branch about Birding Backpack Kits! These loanable backpacks are filled with field guides, binoculars, and other birding essentials to help you get started! Birding Backpack Kits can be checked out for two weeks.

Library programs are free and open to the public. For more information about this program, please visit our online calendar at attend.citruslibraries.org/events or call the Coastal Region branch at (352) 795-3716. To stay in the know about upcoming programs and events, follow @CitrusLibraries on Facebook and Instagram.
