From the Director’s Desk – January 2026

As we begin a new year, I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of our library community. Throughout the year, our staff have been proud to serve you. Whether you visit us weekly, stop by for a special program, or use our digital resources from home, your support and engagement is what makes Citrus Libraries such a welcoming environment.

The start of a new year is a time for fresh ideas, new goals, and exciting opportunities. In the months ahead, we’re looking forward to offering engaging programs for all ages, expanding access to resources you value, and continuing to create welcoming spaces where our community can connect, learn, and grow. We’re also committed to listening to your feedback which helps guides our planning and ensures we meet the evolving needs of our community. I invite you to attend one of our focus group sessions next week as we are beginning to shape the future of our library system.

No matter what this year holds for you, we hope the library will be a place you turn to for inspiration, discovery, and connection. From books and technology to programs and community events, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

On behalf of the Citrus County Library System, I wish you a Happy New Year!
