Author Muriel Eden-Paul takes us Back in Time

On Wednesday, March 13th from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the Floral City Library welcomes acclaimed author Muriel Eden-Paul for a captivating discussion of her historical fiction novel, “Song of Jaybird.”

Eden-Paul, a Florida native deeply connected to the land, will delve into the book’s exploration of a forgotten chapter in history – the lives of Black laborers in a turpentine camp. “Song of Jaybird” promises a journey through a hidden piece of Florida’s tapestry, uncovering the struggles and resilience of a marginalized community. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with the author, gain insights into her creative process, and discover the power of historical fiction to illuminate forgotten voices.
