Get Tech Savvy at the Library this Holiday Season

December and the holiday season are drawing near, which means plenty of shopping, traveling, and planning to be done. The Citrus County Library System invites you to take part in our free technology classes this month to see how tech can make life a bit easier during the holidays. The goal is less stress, and more time making memories!

Watching Holiday movies and family favorites on your own schedule will be a cinch once you learn about all of the on-demand streaming services available. Join us for Alternatives to Cable TV at the Lakes Region branch on Saturday, November 20 at 10:15 AM or at the Homosassa branch on Wednesday, December 1 at 10:15 AM.

Feel more confident about making transactions online when online shopping, and protecting your devices with Online Safety & Privacy, offered at the Central Ridge branch on Tuesday, November 23 at 10:30 AM, or at the Lakes Region branch on Friday, December 17 at 2:30 PM.

Want to keep the holiday music playing all month long in your home or car? Learn about ways to build your own music library or create a customized radio station with Streaming Music at the Homosassa Branch on Wednesday, December 8 at 10:15 AM.

Sifting through all of the smart devices that are available for your home can be a challenge! Our Getting Smart with Smart Homes class at the Floral City branch on Thursday, December 9 at 1:00 PM, can help calm some of the confusion and get you on the right track.

Find out how to keep up-to-date with family members in real time, send messages, and share photos during the holidays with Social Media: Getting Started offered at the Lakes Region Branch on Saturday, December 18 at 10:15 AM.

Gearing up for a long trip or car ride? Use Libby, our online reading app, to stock up on eBooks, audiobooks and magazines. Libby: Getting Started will be offered at the Coastal Region branch on Thursday, December 23 at 10:15 AM or at the Central Ridge branch on Thursday, December 30 at 10:15 AM.

Technology classes with Citrus Libraries are free, but registration is required. You can register by visiting citruslibraries.org or by calling your nearest branch. To stay up-to-date on all of the classes and programs being offered at the library, you can follow @CitrusLibraries on Facebook and Instagram.
