Community Assessment

Community Assessment

Citrus Libraries is planning for the future, and your input will help guide our next chapter.

About the Community Assessment

Citrus Libraries is launching a Community Needs Assessment and we want your voice to help guide our next chapter. As our community grows, so do the ways people use the library. Whether for lifelong learning, job support, digital access, early literacy, or simply a place to meet, we are here to help.

Starting December 3, 2025, we’ll be gathering input through surveys, engagement sessions, and community conversations. The feedback you provide will help us:

  • Identify what’s working well and what you love about our libraries
  • Understand emerging needs, challenges, and service gaps
  • Plan for new programs, spaces, and technologies
  • Ensure the library continues to grow and adapt to meet the needs of our community

This assessment will directly inform our library’s long-term planning, shaping everything from programming and staffing to building updates and new initiatives.

Survey

Help plan the future of how Citrus County Libraries serve you and the community. We want to know your thoughts about current library services and ideas for the future of Citrus Libraries.

Survey ended on Tuesday, January 27, 2026

Focus Group Sessions

Join the community conversation on enhancing Citrus Libraries. We invite all members of the community to one of our Focus Group Sessions in January. These community driven conversations will explore current and future potential library services. At any of these sessions you can:

  • Share your feedback, ideas, and opinions about our libraries
  • See what other libraries have done to enhance their buildings and services, and the possibilities for Citrus Libraries
  • Learn about the services, resources, and more we offer at Citrus Libraries, while sharing your own experiences using them

Session Dates

We held focus group sessions at all the libraries in January, 2026. Groups shared their insights to help us improve our programming, resources, and library spaces.

Visual Voting

Flag your favorites! All library branches will have visual voting boards at certain events and outreaches. These boards feature a grid of images of library services that you can flag with provided stickers. Flag what you think we should improve or add to Citrus Libraries.
