Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Interlibrary Loans

Why is this change to the ILL process happening?
The current system, Florida Navigator, is being discontinued by the State for all Florida Libraries. In the interim, you will have access from our website to connect to WorldCat until the new Florida state ILL system is online.

Can you search worldwide or is it limited to Florida?
WorldCat is a worldwide Interlibrary Loan searching system.

How can I check on my requested items?
Unfortunately, there is no way to access your requested items or to view the status of items that have been requested. This is due to OCLC’s website and not the library’s policy.

How many requests can I make?
5 requests.

How long will this temporary Interlibrary Loan System be used?
Every effort is being made to work with Regional and State Library partners to bring a new resource sharing program as quickly as possible. Stay tuned to and @ Citrus Libraries on Facebook for updates when they become available.

If a request is denied, will I be notified?
A note will be placed on your library account if your request was denied.

Is there a timeframe that I need to wait before requesting another item?
You should allow 2-6 weeks before placing a new request. This will allow for items to be returned to their home libraries (which may be out of state).
