All five branches of the Citrus County Library System are open to the public for access to primary services including browsing and reading, computer and WiFi use, and check-out of materials. The Youth Summer Reading Program will be a series of virtual events over six weeks beginning June 15. Some limited in-person programming will begin to return late June and July, however class/event size will be limited and registration will be required. All other meetings and events remain postponed/cancelled at this time.
All buildings continue to be under temporary guidelines for the health and safety of patrons and staff. This includes limiting occupancy to half-capacity, practicing proper social distancing by remaining six feet apart, and wearing a mask or face-covering whenever possible.
Libraries are also operating under temporary hours during this period; all branches will be open Monday through Wednesday from 10:00am until 6:00pm and Thursday and Friday from 10:00am until 5:00pm. The Central Ridge, Homosassa, and Lakes Region branches will be open on Saturday from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Coastal Region and Floral City branches will remain closed on Saturdays.
A limited curbside pickup service continues to be available to accommodate special needs and at-risk populations. This service is only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Calling ahead to schedule a pick-up and calling upon arrival at the branch parking lot will be required.
We look forward to seeing you back at the library.
