VOLUNTEERING AT THE LIBRARY

Volunteering  with the
Citrus County Library System

Volunteers are an important part of the Citrus County Library System. Last year more than 100 library volunteers gave over 9,500 service hours! The Library System can provide a variety of challenging and rewarding volunteer opportunities. Not only can volunteers help the library--it's a two-way street. Volunteers acquire new skills, meet interesting people, and experience the satisfaction of sharing their talents with others.

Special effort is made to match the interests of volunteers with their work assignments. Explore opportunities to work with children, share library information, process materials, take on special projects, or assist special users such as the hearing or sight impaired. Volunteering at the Citrus County Library System is one way you CAN make a difference!

Volunteers Needed: Make the Difference

Several opportunities exist within our libraries that provide interaction with the public and training, technical and non-technical, in several different areas. Many of our volunteers offer us their time and skill in order to give back to the community the rewards they have received over the years. Some find volunteering is a way to meet new people and kindle new interests. Others find the library a comforting place while they are readjusting to a different way of life.

Central Ridge Library in Beverly Hills would welcome additional volunteers. Opportunities include computer class monitoring and customer service. Please contact Marie Rucinski at  (352) 746-6622 for more information.
