INTERLIBRARY LOAN

InterLibrary Loan

This service allows for materials that are not in the Citrus County Library System to be borrowed from other libraries. Generally requests cannot be filled for items published in the previous six months.

To request an interlibrary loan, a patron must have a valid library card with no fines. If fees are charged by the lending library, the patron will be required to pay.

Interlibrary loan requests may be made in person, over the phone, or by using the Online Catalog (from within the library). The average request takes four weeks. The patron will be notified if the item is unavailable. Please see a Reference librarian for assistance with using the First Search WorldCat database for locating hard to find items.

The Citrus County Library System will process a Genealogy request if an exact title is known. Patron should be aware that this type of material is often classified as reference. If photocopies are provided by the lender, there may be a charge.
